How to play

1. Each symbol on the grid dictates the shape of its region: + means square (width equals height), | means tall (height greater than width), - means wide (width greater than height).
2. Click and drag on the grid to draw a rectangular region. Each region must contain exactly one symbol and match the shape that symbol requires.
3. Continue placing regions until every cell on the grid belongs to exactly one rectangle. Watch out for the four-way junction rule - no four regions may share the same corner.
4. Use Hint to reveal one correct region boundary, Undo to revert your last placement, or Reset to start the level over. Earn up to three stars per level by solving quickly.

How do you play Tatamibari?

Click and drag on the grid to draw a rectangular region. Each region must contain exactly one symbol. A plus sign (+) means the region must be a square (width equals height). A vertical bar (|) means the region must be taller than wide. A horizontal dash (-) means the region must be wider than tall. Every cell must belong to exactly one region.

What is the four-way junction rule?

No four regions may share the same corner point. At any internal grid vertex, at most three distinct regions can meet. This prevents tight crossroads where four cells diagonally touch but belong to four different rectangles.
