How to play

1. Check the HUD for how many stars each row, column, and region needs (1 or 2).
2. Click any cell to place a star. Click again to remove it. Stars turn gold when placed.
3. Each row, column, and region must have exactly the required count. Stars cannot touch diagonally.
4. Press H or the Hint button for up to 3 hints per level. Each hint reveals a correct star.
5. When all stars are correctly placed satisfying every constraint, you win!

What is Star Battle?

Star Battle is a logic puzzle where you place stars into cells of a grid divided into regions. Each row, column, and region must contain a specific number of stars (usually 1 or 2). Stars may not touch each other, not even diagonally.

How do you solve Star Battle puzzles?

Use elimination: if placing a star would exceed the row, column, or region limit, it cannot go there. Since stars cannot touch diagonally, placing one star eliminates all 8 neighboring cells. Look for regions with few valid placements and rows/columns that are nearly full.
