About Wagiri Puzzle
A Nikoli-style path-pair logic puzzle. Draw simple non-intersecting paths connecting numbered circle endpoints on a grid. All paths must be vertex-disjoint. 30 unique-solution puzzles from 5x5 beginner to 9x9 expert.
Description provided by GameZipper.
How to play
- Circles are pre-placed in pairs. Each pair (same color) must be connected by a single non-branching path.
- Click and drag between adjacent cells to draw path segments. Release to complete.
- Paths cannot share cells with other paths. Each path cell must have exactly 2 connections (entry + exit).
- All pairs connected, no branches, no shared cells - you win!
Controls
This game supports touch, keyboard, mouse input; the exact controls are explained inside the game.
Questions
- What is Wagiri?
- Wagiri (Japanese for 'divide/decide') is a Nikoli border-line puzzle. Pairs of circle endpoints are placed on a grid. The player must draw simple non-intersecting paths that connect each pair. All paths must be vertex-disjoint (no shared cells except endpoints), and no cell can have more than 2 path connections (no branches).
- How do you solve Wagiri puzzles?
- Look for endpoints with few degrees of freedom (corners, near edges). The straightest possible path between paired circles is often the correct one. Watch for paths that would have to share cells with another path or branch - these are invalid. Use the constraint that each path cell has exactly 2 connections.
- What are the rules of Wagiri?
- 1) Each circle has a partner (same color). 2) Draw a simple path of horizontal/vertical edges connecting each pair. 3) Paths cannot share cells except at endpoints. 4) Paths cannot branch or form cycles. 5) Every cell on a path has exactly 2 connections.
